The four small cottages on the west side of North Hull Street are original to their sites. Built as rental property in the 1890s, they were the homes of shopkeepers, teachers, railroad workers, and clerks. Three are identical with front gables and wrap-around porches adorned with gingerbread. The fourth, a bit larger, has a porch across the front and a gable which also sports those wonderful spindles, spools and other elements electric jigsaws made possible.
